E-Scooter Policy
at Gold Coast Holiday, Golf and Sports Resort
Safe & Responsible E-Scooter Use at Gold Coast Golf Resort.
At Gold Coast Golf Resort, the safety and enjoyment of all our guests is our priority. To help ensure a safe environment for everyone, all guests using e-scooters on the resort must comply with the following regulations and resort-specific guidelines.
Please read this policy carefully before bringing or using an e-scooter on the property of the Resort.
E-Scooter Regulations
To be used on the resort, e-scooters must meet the following requirements:
- Maximum power output of 400 watts
- Maximum weight of 25 kg
- Maximum speed capability of 20 km/h
- While on resort property, a maximum speed limit of 10 km/h must be observed at all times.
Required Safety Features
All e-scooters used on the resort must be fitted with:
- Front light
- Rear light
- Front and rear reflectors
- Fully functioning brakes
Who Can Ride?
To use an e-scooter at Gold Coast Golf Resort:
- Riders must be 16 years of age or older
- Carrying passengers is not permitted
- Transporting goods while riding is not permitted
- Riders must comply with all applicable Irish traffic laws
Recommended Safety Equipment
For your own safety, we strongly recommend that all riders wear:
- A properly fitted helmet
- High-visibility clothing, particularly in low-light conditions
- Protective equipment such as knee and elbow pads
Where Can E-Scooters Be Used?
To ensure the safety of all guests:
- E-scooters are permitted on designated roadways only
- E-scooters are not permitted on footpaths
- E-scooters are not permitted on grassed or green areas
- Please respect all designated e-scooter zones and any instructions provided by resort management.
