Ballysaggartmore Towers

Stroll through a peaceful path on a magical journey into the beautiful forest woods and be amazed to see a fairy tale setting, the Ballysaggartmore Towers, 30 minutes from Gold Coast Golf Resort.

The Towers, mystical gothic style buildings are perfect for families, kids, couples and individuals to discover.   

These towers were built in the year 1850 by Arthur Kiely-Ussher for his wife who wanted to live in a larger house. However, Arthur rang out of money to complete the rest of the construction site so, only the bridge, its towers and the gate lodges were completed.

Saint Carthage's Cathedral

Saint Carthage’s Cathedral is a very well preserved old church located on Church Lane in Lismore, just 30 minutes from our hotel.

This cathedral is a must-see for religious or non-religious visitors and anyone who truly enjoys exploring history in greater depth.

Walk across the ancient cobble stones lined with interesting gravestones and yew trees on both sides.

Saint Carthage's Cathedral

Saint Carthage’s Catholic Church

Built in the 1880’s, Saint Carthage’s Catholic Church is situated at Chapel Place in Lismore, merely 30 minutes from the hotel.

Designed by Walter Doolin, this Catholic Church is considered to be one of the finest examples of Lombardo-Romanesque churches in Ireland.

The Catholic church contains some interesting stained glass of the Celtic Revival, notably a beautiful set of three windows honouring the saints associated with Lismore - Cathaldus, Carthage and Colman.

Lismore Castle Gardens and Castle Arts

Over seven acres of land within the castle’s 17th century outer defensive walls, the Lismore Castle Gardens is just 30 minutes from our Gold Coast Golf Resort Hotel.

Wander around this impressive castle and lovely gardens featuring a spectacular display of rhododendrons, azaleas as well as other beautiful trees and shrubs. It’s a fun day out for all families.

Visit the Lismore Castle Arts, a contemporary art gallery presenting temporary exhibitions of national and international artists.
