Lismore Opera Festival
Lismore Opera Festival are proud to present L'Elisir D'Amour, a comic opera in two acts by the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti. Taking place from the 1st - 4th June at Lismore Castle Gardens.
A unique festival for lovers of music and the good life, it incorporates a beautiful castle, historic venues, stunning landscape, gardens, music, food and wine. As well as opera, Lismore also stages recitals in St. Carthage’s Cathedral and in some of the wonderful historic great houses and gardens along the Blackwater river.
Two performances of L’Elisir d’Amore by Donizetti at Lismore Castle stables. Afternoon recitals in four of the most beautiful historic houses in the area, Cappoquin House, Tourin House, Salterbridge House and Fortwilliam Estate aswell as an early evening concert in St. Carthage’s Cathedral.
A fantastic culinary experience with a delicious Italian summer menu and specially selected wines to enjoy under canvas in the romantic castle gardens. This year promises to be another sold out event. Book early to avoid disappointment.
